The Black Doula Collective started in 2017 as a Facebook Group. Today we have almost 4000 members who share resources, make referrals for each other, and serve the Black community with love and excellence.

Stacey Herron

Stacey is a certified birth and postpartum doula and the founder of the Black Doula Collective. She is passionate about serving women and families to the glory of God. Stacey enjoys writing, singing, travel and just began her student midwife journey with True Midwifery.

Adjoba Messam

Answering the call of the waterfalls of love, Adjoba is a Birthkeeper with an overarching care for the families of her Village and the Black community at large. She loves to fuse her multi-instrumentalist skills, herbal wisdom, color therapy and passion for our Afrodiaspora to celebrate the birth experience and the joy it brings...

Ashlee Jaye Johnson

Ashlee is a childbirth educator, marketing professional, and founder of Mother Conscious where she creates space and resources like the Birth Class in a Box to help doulas get started and thrive.
